Germany, a nation with a rich footballing history, has consistently produced top-quality young players. Their impressive record of winning international trophies is a testament to the quality of their players.

With that in mind, here are some of our favourite German wonderkids on FM24, including some genuinely genuine quality players:

Florian Wirtz (Bayer Leverkusen)

There is no better place to start with German wonderkids than Bayer Leverkusen starlet Florian Wirtz. The youngster not only showcases exceptional quality for his age but also holds the potential to rank among the best number tens in the world.

The attacking midfielder is the sort of player you sign when you are challenging for the biggest trophies. His starting stats are excellent for a 20-year-old, and he often goes on to become one of the best players in the game, not just in his position but in any position.

Wirtz is a top-quality player who can seamlessly transition across all the attacking midfield spots. He further demonstrates his adaptability by filling in deeper and playing as a central forward.

The one caveat with signing the Germany international is that he costs an eye-watering fee, which can be around £100m. However, you can sign him for slightly cheaper after a few seasons, and you are unlikely to regret spending big on Wirtz.

His stats will likely improve in FM25, as he has just played a key role in Bayer winning their first-ever Bundesliga title.

Paul Wanner (Bayern Munich, on loan at Elversberg)

Despite his tender years, the young attacking midfielder has already made his debut for Bayern Munich. In fact, he is only 17 when the game begins. He is highly regarded in real life in Munich and was sent out on loan to Elversberg in season 2023/24 to gain first-team experience.

Wanner is far less advanced in his development due to his age than Wirtz. However, his stats at his age are very promising, and he has the potential to become a top player.

If Wanner is developed properly, he can become a star who, like Wirtz, is highly versatile, which can be a big asset to any club.

You can pick up the attacking midfielder for less than £20m at the start of the game. However, he won’t join your team until the summer of 2024, when his loan spell with Elversberg ends.

Assan Ouedraogo (Schalke)

The 17-year-old is one of my favourite young German wonderkids on FM24. His starting stats are highly promising, and he often becomes a world-class player in my games.

Ouedraogo can play anywhere in the midfield, although his primary roles are in the attacking midfield positions. When he plays in the more advanced positions, he regularly provides goals and assists at the highest level.

One of the big bonuses of the midfielder is that he has a release clause of £8.5m in the first summer, which is a bargain for a player with such high potential. If you are a club capable of attracting him on a temporary basis, you can even pick him up as a loan player in the opening campaign.

Youssoufa Moukoko (Dortmund)

The diminutive forward seems to have been around for a long time, but when the game starts, Moukoko is just 18 years old.

Moukoko can become an outstanding player further into the game and a prolific goalscorer for years to come. He has scored many goals in my personal saves on FM24.

However, one note of caution is that Moukoko doesn’t always fulfil his potential. He has to be developed in the right manner to help him become the best player he can be.

At the beginning of the game, the striker is highly expensive, as he can cost as much as £70m. I advise waiting a few seasons to sign the youngster when he can be signed for a slightly smaller fee.

Unfortunately, he doesn’t seem to have the same potential on FM24 as in FM23. However, Moukoko is still an excellent player to sign, so don’t let that put you off snapping him up if you get the chance.

Dennis Seimen (Stuttgart)

The goalkeeper starts the game as a 17-year-old in the Stuttgart ll squad. However, he has the potential to become the best player in his position in the world.

Like most of the players on our list, his starting stats are very promising, and he seemingly has no weaknesses in his game. In my personal saves, his stats have grown massively by the time he is in his twenties.

When the current crop of goalkeepers starts declining, he steps into the breach and is the goalkeeper that many of the elite clubs attempt to sign to replace their outgoing stoppers.

This is all positive, especially since he can be picked up in the first transfer window for less than £7.5m and some future add-ons.

If you are a midtable team in a big European league, then he may well be a player worth signing in the first transfer window and then loaning out to gain first-team experience and develop his attributes.
