Over the years, the Netherlands has produced some top players. The likes of PSV, Feyenoord, and Ajax, in particular, have produced some outstanding wonderkids on FM. As is the case with wonderkids, not all players have fulfilled their potential in real life, but some players have.

There are a fair few Dutch wonderkids on FM24. Here are our favourites:

Xavi Simons (RB Leipzig on loan from PSG)

Xavi Simons is one of my favourite players to sign on FM24. The youngster can play in all the attacking midfield positions, as well as in deeper roles such as a CM or even a DM.

He is a must-sign player for any elite team after the first season, as he starts the game on loan at RB Leipzig from PSG. I have paid around £60-70m in my games to sign him.

The fee is not small, for sure. However, he is definitely worth the money, as he fulfils his potential, scoring and creating goals on a regular basis. You can even recoup most of his fee in his late 20’s.

Shaqueel van Persie (Feyenoord)

The son of former Manchester United star Robin, Shaqueel, is just 16 when the game begins. Due to his tender years, his stats are not great at the beginning.

However, he has massive potential, as proven by his value of around £15m at such a young age. In my most recent save, I bought him for around £45m at 21, and he went on to be prolific for me, scoring a hatful of goals before I sold him five years later for £90m.

Like with Simons, Van Persie is not cheap but will prove to be a great asset if you wait to sign him until he is in his early twenties. He will be prolific for your team and could even prove to make a profit if you sell him on.

Jorrel Hato (Ajax)

The young defender is already in the Ajax first-team at just 17 years of age, which illustrates his potential and ability.

Hato is one of the most highly-rated young defenders in the world. His talent is proven by the fact that he was rated at £45-£65m at the beginning of the game.

The youngster only gets better, but I have snapped him up a few times for a cut-price fee or even free, as his contract is expiring.

Once again, Hato is another player I usually sign in every save. He has every attribute needed to become a world-class defender who can serve you well for a long time if he signs early in his career.

Ryan Gravenberch (Liverpool)

The midfielder has been a wonderkid for a few versions of the game, as he was in Ajax’s first team at a young age. The 21-year-old has not quite fulfilled his potential but still has strong starting stats.

Gravenberch’s versatility as a DM, CM, or number ten adds value to the midfielder’s position. However, the youngster can be highly expensive, as he can cost around £70m.

Kenneth Taylor (Ajax)

The 21-year-old is another Ajax player who can become a top, top player in FM24. Like Gravenberch, Taylor can play right through the middle of the pitch, even filling in at centre-back.

I have used Taylor mainly as a central midfielder on attack duty, where he can be prolific in creating and scoring goals. The only downside to signing the Netherlands international is his price tag at the beginning of the game, which ranges from £78-£89m.

However, despite developing and maturing into a very good player, Taylor’s price tag may well go down a few years into the game, the same situation as Hato.

Bart Verbruggen (Brighton)

The 20-year-old goalkeeper starts the game as one of the most promising players in his position. He starts the game with Brighton, and his price tag could be £80m plus add-ons.

His starting stats are strong but not strong enough to pay that massive fee. However, as the game seasons progress, you may well pick him up for a cheaper transfer fee, and his stats will have improved immensely.

Verbruggen is not a player that I sign in every save, but I have signed him, and the youngster has proven to be a great last line of defence for a long time.

In the past, I have bought him for a reasonable fee and then sold him on for a profit. This can be vital if you’re not at an elite club with a fortune to spend.

Do you ever sign any of the Dutch wonderkids on our list on FM24?
