That\u2019s not a compliment, folks.<\/p>\n<p>I went on a scouting mission last night to the Britannia Stadium to see this battle of the brutes and I\u2019ve handed my notepad to my press officer Jamie Richards to type up. Why have a dog and bark yourself? Quality players such as Shaqiri thrive in situations where he uses quality to escape Burnley press.<\/li>\n<li>Initial 15 minutes &#8211; few chances but poor finishing, high or wide.<\/li>\n<li>Not enough hold up play from Wood and Barnes.<\/li>\n<li>Half hour &#8211; good saves by Tom Heaton but everything close to him.<\/li>\n<li>Poor finishing by Saido Berahino, missing several chances.<\/li>\n<li>Finally, quality tells on 39 minutes, cross by Shaqiri to back post and Choupo-Moting heads Stoke in front. Tinnerholm got drawn to ball and left his man free.<\/li>\n<li>Half time stats &#8211; Stoke with 14 shots, Burnley with 1. Game over.<\/li>\n<li>Second goal for Stoke, Berahino\u2019s shot easily saved but parried into Choupo-Moting\u2019s path for second.<\/li>\n<li>Burnley only effort on target prior to 75 minutes free kick by Defour.<\/li>\n<li>Hat-trick for Choupo-Moting as Adam\u2019s free-kick is flicked on by Kurt Zouma.<\/li>\n<li>Three shots in total for Burnley across 90 minutes. One on target. Pitiful.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Burnley couldn\u2019t do us a favour, they couldn\u2019t do themselves one either.
