Although FM26 is on the horizon, there is still life left in FM24, even if most of us have played the game to death. As FM24 was released so long ago, many of our favourite wonderkids from the latest edition of the game and even other recent editions of FM have moved on.

However, which of our favourite FM players have moved on during 2025? (Please note that information is taken from the original FM24 database.)

Benjamin Sesko (Manchester United)

benjamin sesko best fm24 wonderkidsThe Slovenian striker has been a favourite player for many FM players in recent editions of the game, including FM24. In the latest edition, he is arguably considered less of a wonderkid than in previous editions of the game.

However, in FM24, he starts the game at RB Leipzig, a club where he thrived for two seasons before a big-money move to Manchester United in the summer, reportedly worth around £66m, plus add-ons.

Sesko has yet to really shine for the Red Devils in his short time in the Premier League. However, it is still early days and at 22, he is still a young player.

Vitor Roque (Palmeiras)

Since the release of FM24, the Brazilian youngster earned a move to Catalan giants Barcelona due to his exceptional potential.

He struggled to break into the Blaugrana team, mainly due to the high level of competition, and was loaned to Real Betis for the 2024/25 season, where he scored a respectable seven goals in 33 appearances in all competitions.

In what may have seemed like a surprise move, Vitor Roque returned to his homeland in February 2025, as he completed a €25.5 million (£18.5m) move to Palmeiras, which made the youngster the most expensive signing by a South American club.

Incredibly, still only 20, Roque has made a decent start to his Palmeiras career, scoring ten goals in 38 appearances for the Brazilian club.

Fabian Rieder (Augsburg)

fabian rieder fm24 profileFor me, in past editions of FM, the Swiss midfielder was one of my go-to signings at the start of every save. In FM23, for instance, Reider was still at Young Boys in his home country, and his stats belied his price tag.

However, his performances in his homeland earned him a move to French outfit Rennes in the summer of 2023. At the beginning of FM24, he is at the French club, and his stats are still decent, but he is no longer the bargain he once was.

He was as attractive a proposition as he was when he was with Young Boys, but he was still a solid signing. After a mixed spell with Rennes, Reider joined Bundesliga outfit Stuttgart on loan for the 2024/25 season.

Once again, he endured mixed fortunes with Die Roten, scoring two goals in 33 competitive appearances for Stuttgart. In the summer of 2025, the midfielder was on the move again, as he returned to Germany with a permanent move to Augsburg for an undisclosed fee.

Reider has already made an impact in Bavaria, scoring in his on outing for Augsburg in the Bundesliga. At 23, like the other players on this list, time is on his side, and he could yet go on to fulfil the potential he had during his days at Young Boys.

Roony Bardghji (Barcelona)

roony bardghji fm24 profileThe Swedish U-19 star has been regarded as one of the hottest prospects in the world game in recent years. This has been reflected in the stats and his potential on FM in the latest editions of the game.

Kuwait-born Bardghji moved to Sweden in 2012. He joined some local clubs before joining the youth ranks of Malmö in 2019. However, he wasn’t with Malmo for long, as in 2020, the winger joined Danish outfit F.C. Copenhagen.

It was with the club from the Danish capital that he started earning rave reviews as a youngster and then a teenager. He was so highly rated that he made his first-team debut at the age of just 16 years and 6 days.

He shone for Copenhagen both domestically and in the Champions League. Bardghji went on to make 84 competitive appearances for the Danish club. However, his career slightly stalled in May 2024, when he picked up a serious knee injury that sidelined him for close to a whole year.

The winger returned at the end of March, and on July 14th 2025, the undoubtedly talented youngster made a big move to Catalan giants Barcelona. The reported fee of around €2 million (£1.5m) plus add-ons will feel like an FM-like bargain considering his potential.

The winger recently made his Barcelona debut in La Liga, and the 19-year-old will be hoping that it’s just the start of a long and glittering career.
