We have reached wingers in our recent series on the most promising players in each position on FM24. Once again, these will not all be renowned wonderkids or world stars.
We omitted some players who are well-known and need no introduction. Without further ado, here are some of our favourite promising FM24 wonderkids:
Gianluca Prestianni (Benfica)
A lot has happened to the young Argentinians since the release of FM24. When the game was first released, he was with his boyhood club, Velez Sarsfield, in his homeland.
However, after impressing for Velez, including in the Copa Libertadores, Prestianni earned a big move to Benfica in the summer of 2024. Although 17 when the game starts, he is now 19 in real life, and split the 2024/25 season between the Eagles’ first-team and B team.
In FM24, he has plenty of promise and good starting stats. In most of my recent saves, he becomes a very good player who thrives in teams at the top of the game. His stats grow well, especially his attacking attributes.
Usually, a player moving from Argentinian football to the European game would make him more expensive to buy. However, in this case, it’s made it easier, as Prestianni has a release clause of just £9.5m, which is a fantastic bargain.
Roony Bardghji (Copenhagen)
The winger is one of the most well-known wonderkids, but he is also one of our favourite young players on FM24. For a few editions, the teenage sensation has been highly regarded.
When the game begins, he is just 17 years of age, and his stats are already very good for a player of his age. His stats are boosted from the last game, but he still has very high potential.
His fee could be lower than £20m, if add-ons are included in the deal. It sounds like a lot for a 17-year-old, but he is well worth the outlay.
Unfortunately, in real life, the young Sweden U-21 star picked up a serious knee injury in May 2024, which has prevented him from playing much of a part in the 2024/25 campaign. Hopefully, the youngster can get back on track in the 2025/26 season. He is being linked with big-money summer moves to the Premier League.
Andreas Schjelderup (Benfica)
Like Bardghji, Schjelderup has been an exciting young talent in FM for a few editions of the game. A teammate of Prestianni at Benfica in real life, the winger is one of our favourite young wingers.
He starts the game at 19, with very good stats, which only grow and turn him into a top player in most saves. Not only is he technically impressive, but the Norwegian is also versatile, as we have played him as a left-winger, number ten and even as a central striker.
Schjelderup seems to perform well in all positions, but the left-winger role seems to get the best out of him. He won’t be the cheapest player to buy, but you can certainly sign him for an initial cost of around £20m plus various add-ons.
If the deal is structured right, he could be a bargain. After a few seasons of playing at the top level, his value usually skyrockets, so be careful to monitor any release clauses in his contract, as you don’t want to lose him for a smaller fee than his true worth.
Alberto Moleiro (Las Palmas)
We hesitated to include Moleiro in this list, as he plays so many different positions that he could have been included in the list of central midfielders or attacking midfielders.
However, as he can operate as a winger, we decided to include him. His versatility is just a bonus on top of some excellent starting stats for the young Spaniard.
He is 19 when the game starts, with stats of 16 technique and touch, while his dribbling is 17. These are the highlights of his attributes, but he has plenty more high stats that only grow as he matures.
Unfortunately, Moleiro doesn’t come cheap. Las Palmas often look for a fee of £25m plus for an initial fee, and some fairly steep add-ons. However, sometimes that’s the price you have to pay for a talented, young and technically gifted attacking player.
Nico Paz (Como)
The Argentinian may not quite reach the same levels as some of his compatriots on our list, as he has a lower potential ability ceiling. However, we have found him to be a very useful player in some of our recent saves.
When you start the game, Paz is 18 years of age and is contracted to the Italian club Como. He has decent stats for age, can play in virtually any of the attacking midfield positions and can be extremely consistent if given game time to mature.
Another big advantage of signing Paz is that he can be available for a fee of less than £10m, including add-ons in the first transfer window.
If you are managing a midtable team in England, Germany, France, Spain or Italy, then he would be a useful addition, especially if you loan him out for a few seasons to gain that all-important first-team football.
