PSV Eindhoven could be a go-to club for players to sign on FM25

In the last few seasons, Dutch giants PSV Eindhoven have dominated the Eredivisie. They cruised to the top-flight title last season, and this season, they have won 11 of their 12 league matches.

One reason for their outstanding form is the quality of their players. With that in mind, here are some PSV stars who could be good signings in FM25 (whenever it comes out!)

Malik Tillman

The German-born American international midfielder is going from strength to strength in the Netherlands.

Tillman made his professional debut at German giants Bayern Munich but only made four Bundesliga appearances for the Bavarians.

However, he moved to Scottish outfit Rangers on loan for the 2022/23 season. There, he impressed, scoring 12 goals in 43 appearances in all competitions.

He then joined PSV on loan last season. After one game for PSV Jong, the midfielder made 39 appearances for the first team in all competitions, scoring nine goals and producing ten assists.

His excellent form was enough to persuade PSV to sign him permanently for a fee of €12 million, although Bayern has a buyback clause of €35 million.

Tillman’s performances last season will no doubt lead to a significant bump up in his stats on FM25.

Johan Bakayoko

After coming through the youth ranks at the club and impressing with PSV Jong, the youngster was given his chance to shine in the PSV first-team initially in season 2021/22.

However, it wasn’t until season 2023/24 that he really shone, as he scored 13 times and also produced ten assists in all competitions. His form reportedly led to interest in his services from some Premier League clubs.

The right-winger is an excellent dribbler and a good finisher, whether that be close or short-range shooting. By the time FM25 has come out, his stock and stats could be even higher than now.

That may put his price tag up slightly, but if his FM25 stats reflect his real-life development, then he could be an excellent signing for most teams of Premier League standard.

Joey Veerman

Since joining PSV Eindhoven from Heerenveen in 2022, Veerman has progressed into a highly capable, all-around central midfield who has the knack of getting his team a goal.

For instance, in his first three full seasons with the Dutch champions, Veerman scored 6,9 and 8 goals, respectively, in all competitions.

However, there is more to the Netherlands international than just scoring goals. With his excellent passing and eye for a pass, Veerman produced 16 assists in season 2023/24.

He is not just excellent when it comes to attacking play either, as he is strong in the tackle and passes the ball well. He is also slightly adaptable because he can play as a defensive and central midfielder.

Veerman is close to a complete midfield, as he doesn’t seem to have any noticeable weaknesses in his game. At 26, he is young enough to give many years of service but also old enough to have gained experience at the highest level of the game.

If, as I previously said of Bakayoko, Veerman’s attributes are genuinely reflected in FM25, then the midfielder would be an excellent signing for most top-flight clubs in European football’s leagues.

The Netherlands seems to have several young up-and-coming defensive stars on their hands at the moment. PSV’s Ryan Flamingo is undoubtedly on that list.

The 21-year-old joined PSV from Italian club Sassuolo in the summer of 2024 after loan spells in the Eredivisie with Vitesse Arnhem and Utrecht, where he had produced solid displays.

Already, Flamingo has shown his worth to the team, producing some strong displays at the heart of the PSV defence.

However, centre-back is not the only role that Flamingo can play. He has also played as a right-back and defensive midfielder for Vitesse during his loan spell in Arnhem.

Flamingo is considered a player with a high ceiling, so his stats in FM25 should be relatively good. However, signing him in the opening summer would have one caveat: he has only recently joined PSV, so he may not be interested in moving elsewhere.

Ricardo Pepi

The young USA international forward has been touted for big things for a while now. The 21-year-old first came to prominence playing for FC Dallas in MLS.

His form in his homeland earned the forward a big move to German Bundesliga outfit Augsburg in the 2022 January transfer window. He struggled to make an impact in Germany, where he failed to score in 15 Bundesliga appearances.

In September 2022, he was loaned to Groningen. The striker enjoyed far better fortunes in the Eredivisie, scoring 12 goals in 29 appearances in the Dutch top flight.

His performances caught the eye of PSV, who signed the forward for a reported fee of $9.8 million. Pepi scored nine goals in 40 appearances in his debut campaign with the Dutch giants.

In season 2024/25, the USA star has found the net six times in 16 appearances in all competitions, having started just three games in the Eredivisie.

At just 21, Pepi still has time to fulfil what seems like his massive potential. Depending on his stats, the former FC Dallas star could be a shrewd signing on FM25 for clubs looking to qualify for European football.

He will undoubtedly improve once he plays more first-team football in Eindhoven.
